English Conversation - Intermediate
What do I already know?
The course is designed for students for whom the following statement is true:
I can speak about basic things like work, family and school. I can ask and answer simple questions. I can write an e-mail to book accommodation for my holiday and I can read the answer.
Books and Material
- The combination of various materials from different sources – Internet, Newspapers, Magazines, News, Conversation books
How will the course be taught?
- You will speak only in English
- The teacher is a native speaker who does not speak Czech
- The course is designed for students who need to talk and don’t want to put emphasis on grammar
- Less attention will be paid to grammar than in general English courses. The teacher will explain any grammar that gives the students trouble and which inhibits conversation
- Every lesson, the conversation will take place on a different topic, to be selected at the beginning of the course
- The teacher will offer a list of topics from which you can choose during the first class. Students can also suggest themes.

Classroom
DEJVICKÁ - Santinka, nám. Na Santince 2, Praha 6
- Doprava MHD: Metro trasa A, Hradčanská a pak autobus 131 do zastávky Na Santince (4 zastávky, asi 9 minut jízdy) nebo metro trasa A, Dejvická (10 min. pěšky od zastávky)
- Doprava autem: 'Parkování v modré zóně na parkovacích hodinách.

Who is the instructor?
Matthew Lavelle
Matthew Lavelle je rodilý mluvčí a nadšený lektor angličtiny. Vystudoval geografii na univerzitě v USA a v České republice získal TEFL (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) certifikát.
